Ethereum Classic also provides a signed token called Ethereum Classic, which can be transferred between participants, stored in a purse of the crypto currency and used to compensate participating nodes for the calculations performed. A classic token for trading is traded on crypto-exchange servers under the ticker ETC. Gas, the internal mechanism of transaction pricing, is used to prevent spam in the network and allocate resources in proportion to the incentive offered by the request.
